On the left, you can see the phases of the moon and the constellations in the 2nd grade book fully extended. The constellation book was made by poking small holes in a dark sheet of cardstock and gluing the sheet to white cardstock. In the book on the left, you can see all of the folds in the kinder book open. At the top, you can see that his constellation book was confined to just two constellations--his favorite (Sagittarius) and Orion.
Both of these images are from the 2nd grade book. The student did all of the handwriting and composition. The kindergartener wrote titles himself (with spelling hints from mom),
but dictated all of his narrations. The graphic of the space shuttle on the lower left comes from Enchanted Learning.
