Maybe you could try set work hours like other stay at home jobs and see if that helps.

I don't pre-read entire books. I glance. I may read a review of it online to get an idea, but I don't pre-read. There have been a couple of times we have ditched a book half way through, or even sooner, but it was never for content, it was for the boredom factor! If I dont' even like it, I know I can't make the kids get through it. A couple of the early Core 3 books come to mind on that front!

We don't do everything. Having taught for over 16 years in public education, I know that they don't do nearly everything. You do what you can, you pick and choose your books and what you think the students really need some extra focus on.

I would rather focus on a few items and have them learn those really well than to give them a whole book of items to learn and have them forget soon after they read it.

I also have an LD student (oldest) and I admit to catering to him more than the others simply because he needs more help. But in that, the others tend to get similar schooling.
