I got a technical (I think:dope: ) question for someone (Shawn, you still out there :) ).
I never have had a problem opening up pdf/adobe files. In the last couple months(?), when I go to a site and click on a link that has pdf/adobe file the screen opens and never loads. The screen just stays white and in the corner it will say "done" but I never see the file.
Any idea what's up?

Maybe you need to upgrade to the newest version of the Reader? Open the Adobe Reader program and click "help" and look for "check for upgrades now." If you can't get the program to open at all just go to the Adobe website and download a completely new file. Maybe one of those will work.

HTH!

I've had this problem. I had to uninstall Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Reader and re-install them (both are free at adobe.com), and the problem was fixed. Something got corrupted, but I still don't know what.

Do you have a link for a free version of Acrobat? I've never seen it available for download. Just went to adobe.com again and the only one I found that's free is the Reader. :)

Yes - go directly to http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html and it'll hold your hand.

Not Adobe's Acrobat which is not free, but here's a program that converts your documents to reader format. I've used it for years with no problems. To "pay" for it, they open an ad for their products whenever you use it.

Thanks for the link - I actually have Acrobat - I need to edit pdfs for work - but figured I'd save on future upgrades if there really was a free version out there... :)
